Grief & Loss

Grief and Loss Therapy

Grief is a natural response to losing someone or something important to you, but that doesn't mean it's easy to navigate. Grief and loss therapy is a safe space where we work together to understand what you're feeling, why you're feeling it, and how to move through the pain at a pace that feels right for you.

In our work, you won't be expected to "get over" anything or to grieve in a particular way. Instead, we focus on helping you make sense of your experience. That might involve exploring emotions like sadness, anger, guilt, confusion, or even relief—there is no "wrong" feeling here. My role is to support you, not to judge or rush your process.

We'll look at how the loss has affected different parts of your life—your routines, relationships, identity, or sense of stability. Sometimes grief can feel overwhelming or unpredictable, and part of therapy is learning how to manage those waves when they come. We might practice grounding techniques, ways to express feelings safely, or strategies to help you regain balance day-to-day.

Another part of our work can be finding ways to stay connected to what or who you've lost, while also slowly building space for yourself to keep living forward. This doesn't mean forgetting; it means creating a new relationship with the loss that feels more bearable over time.

Most importantly, grief therapy is a place where you don't have to go through this alone. You can talk openly, cry, reflect, or simply sit quietly—whatever you need. Together, we'll create room for healing, meaning-making, and hope, one step at a time.
